Bread With Zaartar Recipe
- 2 x Loaves Middle Eastern or possibly Arab or possibly pocket bread
- 4 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
- 2 Tbsp. Sesame seeds
- 2 Tbsp. Zaartar
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- Zaartar, a blend of herbs, is very popular with those in the Middle East.
- It is made up of thyme, sesame seeds or possibly chick-peas, and sumac bark.
- You can buy this mix in any Middle Easter grocery or possibly delicatessen.
- You can use it for many dishes.
- Cut each loaf of bread into 8 wedges.
- Separate the wedges so which each loaf offers 16 wedges.
- Mix the remaining ingredients together to create a paste.
- Brush the coarse side of each of the wedges with a bit of the paste.
- Place on a cookie sheet and broil till lightly browned on top.
- Watch these carefully.
- Makes 32 pcs.
