Chicken Nugget Casserole
- 1 pound Ziti Pasta
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 3 Tablespoons Flour
- 1- 1/2 cup Milk
- 2 ounces, weight Cream Cheese
- 1/2 Tablespoons Minced Garlic
- 1/2 teaspoons Nutmeg
- 1 jar (24 Oz. Size) Spaghetti Sauce
- 13- 1/2 ounces, weight Frozen, Precooked Chicken Nuggets
- 1- 1/2 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Boil pasta according to package instructions but subtract 2 minutes from the recommended boiling time.
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, sprinkle with flour and whisk continuously.
- Add milk and cook until thickened, then add cream cheese, garlic, and nutmeg.
- Cook this until cream cheese is melted.
- Turn off the heat and set aside.
- Put 1 cup of spaghetti sauce in the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan and spread evenly.
- Toss 1/2 of the pasta on top of the sauce, now all of the milk/cream cheese mixture, then the other half of the noodles.
- Top with the remaining spaghetti sauce.
- Place chicken nuggets on top of the casserole in an even layer and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
