Harvest Pear Bread Pudding Recipe
- 3 c. lowfat milk
- 3 c. bread cubes
- 1/2. sugar
- 1/4 c. melted butter
- 3 Large eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 pears (pared, cored & sliced)
- Heat lowfat milk till bubbles form on edge of pan.
- Pour over bread, cold to lukewarm.
- Combine sugar, butter, Large eggs, almond extract and salt.
- Mix well and stir into bread mix.
- Line buttered 13 x 9 x 2 inch dish with 1/2 pear slices.
- Pour bread mix over pears.
- Arrange remaining pears on top.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 50-55 min or possibly till knife comes out clean.
