Grandma's Sausage And Peppers Recipe
- 1 pound Italian sweet sausage
- 1 pound Italian warm sausage
- 2 lg. onions, sliced thin
- 3 lg. green peppers, cut in thin rings
- Spaghetti sauce
- Brown whole sausages in skillet.
- Pierce skins as they cook.
- Cook till done inside.
- Remove from pan.
- Drain off grease and saute/fry onions till golden, remove from pan.
- Saute/fry peppers till tender.
- Slice sausage into 1/4 to 1/2 inch slices.
- Add in sausage, peppers and onions to skillet.
- Stir fry on medium to medium-high heat.
- Drain any excess fat.
- Add in spaghetti sauce, just sufficient to coat well.
- Heat through and serve on Italian bread.
