Delicious and Healthier French Fries
- 1 medium sized red potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 12 teaspoon sea salt
- 14 cup wheat germ
- 2 cups cold water
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Scrub potato, peel (optional), and cut it into 1/4 inch pieces so it resembles shoestring french fries.
- Soak pieces in a bowl of cold water for 10 minutes.
- Dry the potatoes with paper towels.
- Coat with olive oil, then dust with wheat germ and sea salt.
- Place potatoes in a single layer on a cookie sheet and cook for 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and reduce heat to 350.
- Flip potatoes and continue cooking for 15 minutes or until fries are golden brown and crisp.
