Greek Dressing For Thanksgiving Recipe
- 1 pound chicken giblets
- 2 lbs. hamburger or possibly sausage
- 1/2 pound butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 onions, minced fine
- 2 c. diced celery
- 2 lg. apples, diced
- 1/2 c. parsley, minced fine
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoon grnd cumin
- 2 c. raisins
- Pine nuts
- 1 pound cleaned chestnuts
- Cashew nuts, if you like
- 2 quart. chicken broth
- 1 1/2 c. rice
- Saute/fry giblets with butter, meat and minced onions, celery, apple, parsley, salt and pepper, cinnamon and cumin.
- Let cook a while.
- Add in chicken broth.
- Add in raisins, pine nuts, chestnuts and cashews.
- Add in 1 1/2 c. rice (or possibly according how much you wish to make).
- Cook till rice is done.
- You may need to add in more broth or possibly water as it cooks, taking care not to scorch.
- Serve with chicken or possibly turkey.
