Chops and Kraut
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 4 whole Boneless Pork Chops - About 1" Thick
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoons Nutmeg
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 1 whole Red Onion, Thinly Sliced
- 2 whole Apples, Peeled, Cored And Sliced Thin, Any Kind Will Work
- 1 can (10 Oz. Can) Bavarian Sauerkraut
- Heat a large skillet over medium high heat with the olive oil.
- Season chops with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Brown on all sides until well browned and the juices run clear; remove from skillet.
- Into the same skillet add butter and brown sugar until melted and combined.
- Then add onion and cook until soft.
- Add the apples, sauerkraut, and chops.
- Cover, reduce heat to low, and cook for 20 minutes.
