Chops and Kraut

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat with the olive oil.
  2. Season chops with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  3. Brown on all sides until well browned and the juices run clear; remove from skillet.
  4. Into the same skillet add butter and brown sugar until melted and combined.
  5. Then add onion and cook until soft.
  6. Add the apples, sauerkraut, and chops.
  7. Cover, reduce heat to low, and cook for 20 minutes.
