Glazed Hot Pecans

  1. Preheat oven to 250.
  2. Combine water,sugar and red chiles in a small saucepan.
  3. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  4. Add pecans and return to boil.
  5. Lower heat and simmer 10 minutes.
  6. Remove and discard chiles.
  7. Drain pecans and place on a cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  9. Pour baked pecans into a small bowl, stirring in molasses.
  10. Place on a fresh cookie sheet.
  11. Bake another 45 minutes until crisp.
