Cowboy Steaks

  1. Mix rub ingredients and season steak well on both sides.
  2. Refrigerate 4 to 24 hours.
  3. Store extra rub in a labeled container.
  4. Set up your grill for Direct Heat (a mesquite wood fire is traditional for cooking cowboy steaks).
  5. Grill steak directly over the heat to your personal liking.
  6. When done remove from the grill and rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  7. To make this a "Surf and Turf" serve with Grilled Alaska King Crab Legs.
