My Grandmas Meatballs
- 4 slices Dry Bread, White Or Wheat
- 1/2 cups Milk
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 pounds Ground Beef
- 1/2 pounds Italian Sausage
- 1/2 cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 Tablespoon Parsley
- 1 clove Garlic, Minced
- 1 teaspoon Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 dash Black Pepper
- 2 teaspoons Olive Oil (for Cooking The Meatballs)
- Use a bowl to soak the slices of bread in the milk.
- Let it sit for a few minutes, then discard the leftover milk.
- Mix the soggy bread in with all the other ingredients.
- You can use a mixer to blend everything together, or you can use your hands.
- Either way, your hands will eventually get dirty, because the next step is to form bits of the mixture into balls, using the palms of your hands.
- Embrace the squishiness!
- While you are forming the meatballs, heat up some olive oil (a couple of tablespoons should do) in a skillet over medium heat.
- Brown each of the meatballs in the oil, then throw them all in a big pot with your favorite tomato/spaghetti sauce (were Ragu people) and let them simmer for 30 minutes.
- Easy and delicious!
