Taylor fried tilapia
- 10 tilapia filets
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 packages Louisiana fish fry New Orleans style
- 1/2 tbsp old bay seasoning
- 1/2 tbsp oregano
- 1/2 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tbsp black pepper
- 1/2 tbsp onion powder
- Thaw tilapia accordingly.
- saturate with fresh lemon juice on both sides
- Season one side to your liking with old bay seasoning, and oregano
- Flip tilapia filets and season other side with onion powder, Italian seasoning and black pepper
- Heat oil in Dutch skillet until piping hot (test by tossing a dash of the fish fry into grease if it sizzles heavily it is ready)
- Coat fish filets in fish fry seasoning make sure the fish is evenly coated on both sides
- Place fish filets in grease and cook until browned (about 5 minutes) Flip and cook the other side an additional 5/6 minutes or until done
- Remove filets from grease and drain on paper towel.
