Pizza Rolls from Scratch
- 1 Tablespoon Yeast
- 1/4 cups Warm Water
- 1/2 cups Milk
- 1/4 cups Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Shortening
- 1 whole Egg
- 3/4 teaspoons Salt
- 3 cups Flour, Maybe 1/2 Cup More
- 1 package Pepperoni's
- 12 ounces, weight Shredded Mozz Cheese
- 1 container Ragu Pasta Sauce, Large
- 1.
- Dissolve yeast in warm water, Let stand 5 minutes or until foamy.
- 2.
- Combine milk, sugar,and shortening in sauce pan until shortening melts.
- Allow to COOL.
- 3.
- Add yeast, egg, salt and gradually add flour, beat until smooth.
- 4.
- Let rise 1 HOUR or until doubles in size.
- 5.
- Roll dough into large triangle (like a cinnamon bun).
- 6.
- Place pepperoni and sprinkle cheese on top.
- 7.
- Roll it up from smaller point.
- Cut 3/4 to 1 inch thick slices and place on greased cookie sheet.
- 8.
- Let it rise AGAIN 45 minutes.
- 9.Bake 350 to 375 for 20 minutes.
- 10.
- Top with Ragu sauce.
- Goes great with a salad.
