Bill's Tuna Alfredo
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 12 cups milk
- 13 cup chopped onion
- 1 (20 ounce) container sour cream
- 1 (4 ounce) cansliced mushrooms, not drained
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 (6 ounce) cans light chunk tuna in water, drained
- cooked pasta (Your choice) or rice (Your choice)
- Melt butter or margarine in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add salt and pepper.
- Add chopped onion and stir until transparent.
- Stir in flour to make a roux.
- Add milk and stir until thickened.
- Stir in sour cream, mushrooms, parmesan cheese and tuna.
- Stir until smooth.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1520 minutes to allow flavors to mingle.
- Serve immediately over pasta or rice.
