Heirloom Tomato Pizza
- 2 Medium Heirloom Tomatoes
- 2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 whole Whole Foods Premade Pizza Dough (for One Large Pizza)
- 4 ounces, weight Chunk Of Pecorino Romano Cheese
- 1/2 cups Sliced Mushrooms
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- Preheat oven to 450 F.
- Thinly slice tomatoes and place in a bowl.
- Drizzle olive oil over them, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and let sit.
- Meanwhile, lightly grease a cookie sheet or pizza pan with olive oil.
- Spread dough onto pan in desired shape, pinching edges up slightly to create the crust.
- Shave cheese into thin slices and place evenly over pizza dough, covering the surface but leaving 1 inch all around the edges.
- Place mushroom and tomato slices in same manner, covering entire pizza.
- Sprinkle oregano over top.
- Place in oven for 12 minutes at 450F.
- After that,leave pizza in oven and turn the broiler on to 500F to finish cooking for 5 minutes.
- Edges should be lightly brown and cheese should be bubbly.
- Cut into slices and serve!
