AMIEs KAMOTE QUE (sweet potato fritters)
- 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced crosswise
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup frying oil
- 1 barbeque sticks/bamboo skewers
- Heat the oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Add the brown sugar when the oil is moderately hot.
- Add the potato in batches once the brown sugar floats.
- Fry the potato for about 5-8 minutes.
- Turn it from time to time to spread the caramelized sugar coating or until the potato are fully coated with caramelized sugar.
- Remove the potato and let it cool.
- W e can use barbeque sticks for a nice and better presentation.
