The Mom Helper (Vegan)

  2. Add oil to a large pan, sauteing onion and ground round over medium heat until onion is translucent and ground round darkens slightly (about 4 minutes).
  3. Add the bell pepper and saute until it is softened slightly (about 2 minutes).

  5. Add pasta, stir and pour the water over top.
  6. Sprinkle with salt and bring to a boil.
  7. Once boiling, turn down heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
  8. Keep an eye on it, stirring once in a while so the pasta doesnt stick.

  10. Once the pasta is al dente and the water has been mostly soaked up by the pasta, fold in tomato paste and milk, blending evenly.
  11. Bring to a boil.
  12. Turn the heat off and stir in nutritional yeast.
  13. Let stand for 5 minutes so that the pasta has time to soak in the flavors.
  14. Enjoy!
