Rum Buns Recipe

  1. Mix yeast, sugar, water till yeast is dissolved.
  2. Add in rum, egg, lowfat milk, shortening and salt.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Add in flour.
  5. Knead.
  6. Roll to 1/4 inch thick square.
  7. Moisten entire square with butter.
  8. Sprinkle 1/2 c. brown sugar, mixed with 1 tsp.
  9. cinnamon over dough.
  10. Sprinkle 1 c. raisins over dough.
  11. Roll up.
  12. Slice in 1 inch rolls.
  13. Place in well greased muffin tins.
  14. Let rise approximately 2 to 3 hrs.
  15. Bake at 375 degrees till light tan on top.
