Ginger Pork Loin (Shoga-yaki)
- 2 slice Pork loin
- 1 pinch Katakuriko
- 1 dash Salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 3 tbsp Water
- 1 -1 1/2 teaspoons Grated ginger
- Lightly season the pork with salt and pepper.
- Mix all the ingredients marked with a .
- Put the katakuriko in a plastic bag and add the pork.
- Shake to coat the pork.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil (not listed) in a pan, and add the pork.
- Brown one side at a time.
- When it has turned a nice colour, add in the ingredients.
- Heat over a low heat for a minute and then transfer to a serving plate.
- Drizzle on the sauce and it's done.
- Serve as one slice or cut it up!
- Serve with cabbage or lettuce.
