Dragon in the Hole
- 200 grams plain flour
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 liter milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 1 pinch thyme
- 1 pinch garlic salt
- 1 each large leek
- 8 pork and leek sausages
- 4 rashers back bacon
- Cook sausages under the grill, when cooked allow to cool and chop into bite size segments
- Cook bacon under the grill, when cooked allow to cool and cut into gaujons.
- Slice and chop leek
- Leaving the sausages and bacon to one side, Quite literally dump all the other ingredients into a large mixing bowl and using an electric whisk, whisk away until you have a creamy smooth mixture.
- Put mixture into the fridge for half an hour.
- Preheat oven to 200 C.
- Using oil (or any dripping for added taste) cover the bottom of a large baking tin with oil (or dripping) and place into oven for ten minutes.
- Take tin out of oven.
- put sausages and bacon into tin and spread evenly across the bottom.
- quickly add all the mixture, give it a good stir and place in oven for 30 minutes.
- When risen and brown and crispy, remove from oven and serve with lots of gravy.
