Beer Batter For Fish Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. sifted all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tbsp. melted butter
- 2 Large eggs, separated
- 3/4 c. stale beer
- Combine flour, salt, melted butter, egg yolk and sale beer; beat only till smooth.
- Cover and let stand in cold place from 1 to 12 hrs.
- Just before using beat egg whites till stiff and fold gently into batter.
- Very good on mushroom, eggplant and other vegetables.
