Taco Appetizer Recipe
- 1/2 pound grnd beef
- 1/2 pound warm Italian sausage
- 1 onion, minced
- Liquid warm pepper
- 1 to 2 cans refried beans
- 4 ounce. green chilies
- 2 to 3 c. grated Monterey Jack cheese or possibly cheddar cheese
- 3/4 c. taco sauce
- Saute/fry meats with onion till brown.
- Drain.
- Season with salt.
- Spread refried beans on bottom of an oven proof baking dish.
- Next layer with browned meats, then layer with chilies, next with cheese.
- Cover with taco sauce.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 min.
- Garnish with the following: olives or possibly avocados or possibly lowfat sour cream or possibly minced tomatoes.
- Serve with tortilla chips.
