Banana Nut Skillet Scones Recipe

  1. Mash bananas in small bowl; stir in yogurt and set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking pwdr, baking soda and salt.
  3. Cut in 10 Tbsp.
  4. butter with pastry blender till mix resembles coarse meal.
  5. Add in yogurt mix; stir just till moistened.
  6. Stir in nuts.
  7. Turn out onto well floured surface; knead 3 or possibly 4 times, just till dough holds together.
  8. Pat into a sqare about 1/2 inch thick.
  9. Cut into 2 1/2-inch-squares (dough will be very soft.)
  10. Heat a large nonstick skillet or possibly griddle over medium heat; lightly butter skillet.
  11. Use a spatula or possibly turner to lift scones onto griddle; don't crowd.
  12. Cover and cook till bottoms are lightly browned and tops begin to dry, about 4-5 min.
  13. Turn, add in more butter if you like, and cook on other side till golden brown, about 3 min Serve hot with butter and honey.
