Au Gratin Potatoes With Zip
- 2 cups yukon gold potatoes, sliced thin
- 12 large onion, sliced into rings
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
- 14 teaspoon Morton nature seasons seasoning blend
- 14 teaspoon cayenne pepper (more to taste)
- salt and pepper
- 14 cup Mexican blend cheese, shredded
- 13 cup 1% low-fat milk
- Preheat the oven to 350F.
- Prepare your baking dish by adding the olive oil.
- Peel the potatoes, cut in half, then slice thinly.
- Slice the onion into thin, 1/4 inch slices.
- Add both to the baking dish.
- Add the butter, Nature Seasonings, cayenne pepper, cheese and milk, then salt and pepper to your own preference.
- Stir the mixture to ensure that every potato has both oil and spices on it.
- Bake covered at 350F for approximately 45 minutes, or until the potatoes are soft.
