Microwave Steamed Sweet Onions with Meat and Cheese

• 300 grams Sweet new harvest onions
• 2 heaping tablespoons Meat sauce
• 2 handfuls Melting type cheese (I used mozzarella)

1. Cut off the tops and bottoms of the onions so they'll stand up.
2. Put on a heatproof dish, cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 5 minutes at 600 W.
3. Remove the plastic, add the meat sauce and cheese, and microwave without replacing the plastic wrap for 2 minutes at 600 W.
4. Transfer to serving plates and enjoy.
5. Our family's meat sauce is made with tomato sauce, tomato paste, ground meat, red bell pepper, onion, carrot, and mushrooms.
