Sugared Pecans
- 2 egg whites
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 cups pecans, coarsely chopped or 1 lb pecans
- 12 cup butter, melted
- Beat egg whites until foamy.
- Gradually add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating till stiff peaks form.
- Fold in pecans.
- Pour butter into a 15 x 10 x 1-inch jellyroll pan.
- Spread pecan mixture over butter.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 30 min, stirring every 10 minute Cool and store in an airtight container.
