Luscious Fruit Compote Recipe
- 1/2 box dry prunes
- 1/2 box dry apricots
- 16 ounce. can pear halves
- 16 ounce. can peach halves
- 16 ounce. can bing cherries
- 16 ounce. can pineapple chunks
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 11 ounce. can mandarin oranges
- Zest and sections of 1 lemon
- Zest and sections of 1 orange
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. macaroon crumbs
- 1/3 c. brandy
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Drain the canned fruits and combine all fruits in a large greased casserole.
- Mix the brown sugar and macaroon crumbs.
- Sprinkle over fruits.
- Bake for 1 1/2 hrs.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle brandy over the top of the casserole.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 min.
- May be served hot or possibly cool.
- Serves 16 to 20 min.
