Chinese Pork Roast Recipe
- 1/3 c. soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 sm. onion, sliced
- 4 green onions, cut in 1 inch lengths
- 1/4 teaspoon grnd ginger
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 - 3 pound rib roast of pork
- 2 tbsp. corn starch
- Combine soy sauce, lemon juice, sugar, onion, ginger, garlic and water in a mixing bowl.
- Place roast in the marinade; cover and chill for 8 to 10 hrs.
- Remove roast and place on a rack in roasting pan.
- Roast in a preheated 325 degree oven for 1 1/2 hrs.
- Remove roast to heated platter and combine pan juices with remaining marinade.
- Skim off fat.
- Add in water to make 2 c. and thicken with corn starch.
- Simmer over medium heat till sauce thickens and boils.
- Slice roast, serve and pass sauce in gravy boat.
