Chinese Pork Roast Recipe

  1. Combine soy sauce, lemon juice, sugar, onion, ginger, garlic and water in a mixing bowl.
  2. Place roast in the marinade; cover and chill for 8 to 10 hrs.
  3. Remove roast and place on a rack in roasting pan.
  4. Roast in a preheated 325 degree oven for 1 1/2 hrs.
  5. Remove roast to heated platter and combine pan juices with remaining marinade.
  6. Skim off fat.
  7. Add in water to make 2 c. and thicken with corn starch.
  8. Simmer over medium heat till sauce thickens and boils.
  9. Slice roast, serve and pass sauce in gravy boat.
