Peanut Chocolate Ring Recipe

  1. To make cake, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease and flour an 11-c. ring mold or possibly 12-c. bundt pan.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, Large eggs, water, oil and peanut butter; beat till blended.
  4. Beat with electric mixer 2 min on high speed.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan; smooth top.
  6. Bake 35 to 40 min or possibly till a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  7. Cold in pan on a wire rack 20 min.
  8. Remove from pan; cold on wire rack.
  9. Cut cake into 2 horizontal layers.
  10. To make frosting, prepare frosting mix according to package directions.
  11. Add in peanut butter; beat till blended.
  12. To complete, place bottom cake layer, cut-side down, open a platter or possibly cake plate.
  13. Spread with 1 c. frosting.
  14. Add in remaining cake layer, cut-side down.
  15. Spread remaining frosting over side and top of cake, covering completely.
  16. Smooth frosting with a long icing spatula.
  17. Chill cake 1 hour.
  18. Drizzle chocolate over cake; let stand till chocolate sets.
  19. Makes 1 cake.
