Beef Stroganoff
- 2 lb. boneless round steak or 2 lb. hamburger
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 3/4 c. water
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 c. stewed tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 1 (8 oz.) tub sour cream
- 3 Tbsp. plain flour
- 5 c. cooked rice or noodles
- 3 tsp. parsley
- Mix beef, onion, 1 cup water and garlic.
- Cook on 100% power in a 3-quart microwave dish for 5 minutes.
- Stir once.
- Cook, covered, on 50% power (Medium) for 20 to 24 minutes, or until beef is tender; stir once.
- Skim off the fat grease.
- Stir in rest of water, tomatoes, paprika, chili powder, seasoned salt and soy sauce.
- Cook, covered, on High for about 4 minutes, or until heated through.
- Mix sour cream and flour; slowly stir in 1 cup of the hot mixture.
- Mix all.
- Put in casserole.
- Cook, uncovered, on High for about 6 minutes.
