Pork and Pickled Plum Cheese Rolls
- 8 slice Thinly sliced pork loin
- 8 leaves Shiso leaves
- 5 plums Pickled plums (small)
- 2 pieces Foil-wrapped cream cheese
- 1 dash Salt and pepper
- 1 Plain flour
- 1 Vegetable oil
- 5 grams Butter
- 1 tbsp Ponzu
- Remove the seeds from the pickled plums, and mince with a knife to a paste.
- Cut the stems off the shiso leaves.
- Cut the baby cheese vertically into 8 pieces.
- Season both sides of the pork with salt and pepper.
- Spread out the meat, place the shiso leaves on top, spread the pickled plum paste from Step 1 on top, add in the cheese on top of that, and roll it up.
- Lightly coat the rolled pork in flour.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, and cook the pork rolls (Lower the heat to not burn them).
- Arrange on plates once it has thoroughly cooked through.
- Quickly wipe the frying pan clean with a paper towel.
- Add butter and ponzu sauce to the frying pan, let the butter melt, and top the pork rolls with the dressing; then it is done.
