Country Cornsticks
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 1/4 cups stone-ground cornmeal
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- In a bowl, whisk together 1 cup buttermilk, 2 large eggs and melted butter.
- Add liquid to dry ingredients and stir until combined.
- Spoon batter into molds and bake at 450 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden.
