Hill Of Beans Salad

  1. Put bacon in 2-quart casserole.
  2. Microwave on High for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes.
  3. With slotted spoon, remove bacon and place on towels to drain.
  4. Blend sugar and cornstarch with bacon drippings.
  5. Stir in salt, pepper and vinegar. Microwave on High for 3 to 4 minutes, until thick.
  6. Add drained beans, onion and celery slices to sauce in casserole, stirring well.
  7. Cover.
  8. Microwave on High for 6 minutes, stirring after 3 minutes.
  9. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
  10. Sprinkle bacon on top.
  11. Preheat before serving.
  12. Even better the next day.
  13. Makes 4 servings.
