Chocolate Lover's Ice Cream Pie
- 24 crisp chocolate chip cookies
- 13 c. unsalted butter
- 1 qt. chocolate ice cream
- 1/4 c. chocolate-flavored syrup
- 1 c. frozen whipped topping
- Stir together crushed cookies and melted butter in medium bowl.
- Press on bottom and sides of 9-inch round pie pan.
- Freeze until firm, about 10 minutes.
- Spread ice cream evenly over crust.
- Cover with plastic wrap; freeze until firm, about 6 hours, or overnight.
- Remove pie from freezer; let soften at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
- Just before serving, drizzle pie with chocolate syrup.
- Garnish with frozen whipped topping and chocolate chip cookie pieces, if desired.
