Moms Taco Salad

  1. Brown beef over medium heat.
  2. Once fully browned, drain it of excess fat.
  3. Add packet of taco seasoning to the meat (whichever one is your favorite or you can make your own).
  4. Add the amount of water specified on the package of seasoning.
  5. Let water reduce until the beef mixture is thick and the flavors melded.
  6. Turn off heat.
  7. Crush a handful (or more) of Doritos and place on plate.
  8. Next layer with a little of the taco beef mixture.
  9. Then add whatever toppings you prefer, kidney beans, shredded lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, etc.
  10. Then lightly drizzle with Catalina dressing.
  11. This is great to double to feed a large crowd.
  12. Would be wonderful as a taco salad bar!
  13. Cooks Note: Some other toppings include: salsa, pinto beans, olives or jalapenos.
