Drunk Cornbread
- 2 (8 ounce) boxes cornbread mix
- 1 (16 ounce) bottle beer (your choice, I used Miller High Life because I'm just that classy)
- 1 egg
- 12 cup green onion, chopped
- 12 lb hot sausage, browned and crumbled
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce (I used Sriracha)
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Mix the cornbread mix and egg together.
- Stir in enough beer for the mix to be lumpy but not dry.
- Toss in the rest of the ingredients until everything is covered with cornbread mix.
- If it doesn't look wet enough, add more beer.
- If it looks fine, do with the remaining beer what you will.
- Place into a bread pan of your choice and cover will aluminium foil.
- Place in oven and cook for a minimum of 30 minutes.
- Check with toothpick for doneness and if cooked, removed foil and place back in oven for a few minutes, to brown the top of the bread.
