Chicken Pasta Skillet
- 1 lb. (450 g) boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 green pepper, cut into strips
- 1 small onion, sliced King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 1-1/2 cups water
- 3 cups rotini pasta, uncooked
- 1 can (680 mL) no-salt-added tomato sauce
- 1 cup Cracker Barrel Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Cook chicken in large skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium-high heat 5 min.
- Add vegetables; cook and stir 3 to 5 min.
- or until chicken is done.
- Add water; bring to boil.
- Add pasta; stir until evenly covered with water.
- Cover; simmer on medium-low heat 15 min.
- or until pasta is tender.
- Stir in sauce.
- Top with cheese; cover.
- Simmer on low heat 5 min.
- or until cheese is melted and pasta mixture is heated through.
