Hot Crab Spread Recipe
- 8 ounce. lite cream cheese
- 2 c. non-fat quark or possibly low-fat cottage cheese, blended
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 1/4 c. skim lowfat milk
- 1/2 teaspoon each: dry basil, marjoram, oregano and thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 1 pound imitation crab flakes
- 1.
- In a large bowl, mix cream cheese and quark till smooth.
- Gradually add in lemon juice and lowfat milk and blend.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- 2.
- Pour into quiche dish or possibly pie pan.
- Cover.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15 min or possibly till warm.
- 3.
- Serve with crackers and vegetable tray.
- Makes about 4 c..

- Substitutions: cooked shrimp meat, crab meat.
