Emeril's Layered Margaritas - Strawberry and Mango

  1. Strawberry Puree:
  2. Combine ingredients in a blender.
  3. Puree until smooth.
  4. Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, just until the mixture will puree.
  5. Puree should be thick.
  6. Mango Puree: Combine ingredients in a blender.
  7. Puree until smooth.
  8. Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, just until the mixture will puree smoothly.
  9. Puree should be thick.
  10. In a blender, combine limeade, tequila, and Grand Marnier.
  11. Fill with ice and blend until smooth.
  12. Place the coarse salt in a shall dish or saucer.
  13. Wet the rim of 4 glasses with a lime wedge and dip the glass into the salt to coat.
  14. Pour about 1/4 cup of the margarita into each glass.
  15. Top with about 1/4 cup of the strawberry puree.
  16. Top with more margarita followed by the mango puree.
  17. Top with the remaining margarita.
  18. Garnish with a strawberry on the rim of the glass and a slice of mango.
