Chicken & Cabbage with Tomatoes
- 1/2 Chicken thigh or breast
- 1/4 head Cabbage (medium)
- 1 can Canned diced tomatoes
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 50 ml White wine
- 1 tsp Chicken consomme granules
- 1 *Oregano
- 1 Salt and pepper
- 1 pinch Sugar
- Cut the chicken and the cabbage into bite-sized pieces.
- I also used 1 small eggplant.
- Heat olive oil in a pot.
- Lightly cook the surfaces of the chicken.
- Add the cabbage and the ingredients.
- Cover with a lid and steam.
- Remove the lid after 1-2 minutes.
- The chicken and the vegetables should be pretty much cooked through.
- I recommend using an Italian brand of canned tomatoes.
- Add the tomatoes and the ingredients.
- Cover with the lid again and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Season with and it's done.
- Serve on a dish and, if you have it, garnish with basil.
