Blue Cheese Burgers With Caramelized Onions Recipe

  1. Heat grill.
  2. In medium bowl, combine grnd beef, blue cheese, parsley, salt and pepper; mix well.
  3. Shape mix into 4 patties, 1/2-inch thick.
  4. When ready to grill, place patties on gas grill over medium heat or possibly on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals.
  5. Cook for 11 to 13 min or possibly till patties are thoroughly cooked, turning once.
  6. Meanwhile, heat oil in medium skillet.
  7. Add in onion; cook and stir over medium heat for 3 to 5 min or possibly till tender.
  8. Cook 15 to 20 min or possibly till onions are golden brown and glazed, stirring frequently.
  9. Place buns, cut-side down, on grill.
  10. Cook 1 to 2 min or possibly till buns are lightly toasted.
  11. Place patties and onions in buns.
  12. This recipe yields 4 servings.
  13. Serving Suggestion: For extra blue cheese flavor, spread toasted buns with your favorite blue cheese dressing before assembling the burgers.
  14. Comments: To broil patties, place on broiler pan; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat using times above as a guide, turning once.
