Peanut Brownies
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate squares
- 12 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 23 cup flour
- 12 teaspoon baking powder
- 18 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup chopped peanuts
- Melt the chocolate and butter in the top of a double boiler.
- You can use a saucepan over low heat if you keep stirring while the chocolate melts.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and gradually add the sugar.
- Stir the melted chocolate and butter into the eggs.
- Add the vanilla and stir until well blended.
- Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into a separate bowl.
- Add to chocolate mixture and blend.
- Stir in the nuts.
- Pour batter into a greased 8 inch square baking pan.
- Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
- Cool and cut into squares.
