Matador
- 2 thin fresh ginger slices
- 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 3/4 ounce elderflower liqueur
- 2 dashes of orange bitters
- Ice
- 1 1/2 ounces bourbon
- 1 1/2 ounces chilled ginger ale
- 1 orange twist, flamed
- 1 candied ginger slice
- In a cocktail shaker, muddle the fresh ginger with the lemon juice, liqueur and bitters.
- Add ice and the bourbon; shake well.
- Strain into an ice-filled highball glass.
- Stir in the ginger ale.
- Garnish with the flamed twist and candied ginger.
