Barbecued Spiced Fish (Seng Sun Bulgogi) Recipe
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 lb fillet of sea bass, red snapper, flounder or possibly similar fish, with skin cut into 4 pcs
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp gochu jang paste
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tsp Korean sesame oil
- 1 tsp white or possibly rice wine
- 2 Tbsp. minced scallion
- 1 x garlic clove minced fine
- 1 tsp chopped fresh ginger
- Sprinkle salt over the fish fillet of choice and let stand uncovered in the refrigerator overnight to dry out somewhat.
- Turn the pcs over once during this time.
- To prepare the spice paste, mix paste ingredients together.
- Rub the paste into the fish pcs.
- Let stand for 1/2 hour, then broil over charcoal or possibly in a gas or possibly electric oven broiler for 5 min.
- Serve hot with rice and side dishes of your choice.
- This recipe yields 4 servings.
