Double delight strawberry cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Grease two circle cake pans about 5x8's
  3. Slice all strawberries vertically and thin (set about 2/3 pint aside for flower top) and save one small whole one for the center of flower
  4. Arrange a layer of strawberry slices on the bottom of both pans
  5. Prepare cake mix as directed on box and pour onto the top of sliced strawberries
  6. Bake as directed on box or@350 for 30-35minutes or until toothpick poked into center comes out clean.
  7. (try to keep temperature lower as to not burn or "caramelize"strawberry bottom)
  8. To make topping: mix cream cheese,whip topping,pudding mix and vanilla together in a big bowl fold together then whip for a few minutes, cover and set in fridge
  9. When cakes are cooled flip each one out upside down onto a plate..(as you would a pineapple upside cake)
  10. Frost one of the two with topping then add the other unfrosted cake to the top of the frosted cake, strawberry side down.
  11. Frost second layer
  12. Finish by adding strawberry flower to top.
  13. start by arranging bigger ones on bottom to smaller on top and finish center with one small berry
  14. Store in fridge until ready to slice and serve
