Green Bean Almondine

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Spread almonds on baking sheet, and toast 10 minutes, or until browned and fragrant.
  3. Cool, then coarsely chop.
  4. Set aside.
  5. Steam green beans 6 to 8 minutes, or until crisp-tender.
  6. Rinse under cold water, and drain.
  7. Pat dry with paper towels, and transfer to medium bowl.
  8. Add walnut oil, tamari and vinegar to green beans, and toss to coat.
  9. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  10. Just before serving, sprinkle with chopped almonds.
