Russian Salad

• 1 15 oz (420 grm). can julienne beets, drained
• lettuce
• 1 jar wine-packed herring (not creamy kind)
• mild onion rings
• Thousand Island dressing
• rye bread
• butter

1. Arrange beets in a ring on lettuce.
2. Fill ring with herring.
3. Top with onion rings.
4. Top with dressing, or serve dressing on the side.
5. Serve with rye bread and butter.
