Cherry and Peach Compote

  1. Place all ingredients in heavy medium saucepan.
  2. Bring to boil over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  3. Reduce heat to medium and simmer until fruit is tender, about 15 minutes.
  4. Cover and chill overnight.
  5. (Can be made 2 days ahead.
  6. Keep chilled.)
  7. Serve cold or at room temperature.
