Peanut Butter Oat Bars
- 2/3 c. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. peanut butter
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 4 c. quick-cooking oats
- 1 c. milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. butterscotch chips
- 1/3 c. peanut butter
- In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, 1/4 cup peanut butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and vanilla; gradually add the oats. Press into a 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for 12 to 14 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Cool on wire rack for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, for topping, melt chips and 1/3 cup peanut butter in microwave for 1 minute.
- Stir until blended and spread over warm bars.
- Cool completely and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours before cutting.
