THE Barbecue Sauce for Steaks and Chicken.
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 14 cup vegetable oil
- 5 teaspoons chili powder
- 12 teaspoon paprika
- 2 teaspoons celery seeds
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 14 teaspoon cayenne powder
- 1 34 cups tomato ketchup
- 18 cup Pepsi, regular
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons dried oregano
- 18 cup cider vinegar
- 13 cup frenchs prepared mustard
- 13 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
- 14 cup maple syrup
- 3 teaspoons liquid smoke
- 14 cup Pepsi, regular non diet
- Heat oil over medium heat, and add onion, then saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the garlic cloves, and saute for 2 minutes.
- Stir in chili powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper,cocca powder, and celery seeds.
- Stir until well blended.
- Add the remaining ingredients tomato ketchup, pepsi, brown sugar, dried oregeno, cider vinegar, French mustard,worcestershire sauce, maple syrup, liquid smoke, and pepsi.
- Stir continuously with a wooden spoon to combine together.
- Reduce heat to low, and simmer uncovered stirring occasionally over low heat (do not cover pot), the textures and flavors will diminish.
- Cool to room temperature, cover and refrigerate for 24 hours before using, and serving.
