Non-Dairy Hot Chocolate Waffles With Vanilla Cream Syrup
- 1 12 cups flour
- 12 cup cocoa powder
- 14 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 cooking oil (I used extra virgin olive oil)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup almond milk or 1 cup soymilk or 1 cup other non-dairy milk substitute
- 1 tablespoon butter (whatever you like to use) or 1 tablespoon non dairy margarine (whatever you like to use)
- 12 cup non-dairy milk substitute
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- mini marshmallows
- chocolate chips
- FOR THE HOT CHOCOLATE WAFFLES:.
- In a large bowl, beat together all ingredients for the waffles until smooth.
- Spoon into a hot waffle iron & bake according to manufacturer instructions.
- FOR THE VANILLA BEAN CREME SYRUP:.
- In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients.
- Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until beginning to boil.
- Spoon a small amount of syrup into a glass cup and add cornstarch to make a thick paste.
- Add to syrup mixture.
- Cook on med-low heat until thickened.
- Right before your ready to use, add baking soda and stir.
- This will foam up.
- Spoon over waffles.
- Top with mini marshmallows and chocolate chips.
- The syrup should be hot enough to melt the marshmallows & chocolate chips.
